This is what Hayao Miyazaki, a Japanese film directors, did through his films. He interpreted the modernized way of life through his creations.
It was 1985 when Miyazaki, along with his friend and fellow animator Isao Takahato, founded Studio Ghibli, which holds the trust of millions of people across the globe. Hayao Miyazaki, who frequently makes references to pollution caused by mankind, nature, and ecology in his films, strives to educate people about the world we are living in.
In collaboration with Studio Ghibli, Miyazaki produced a horde of films which swept the worlds’ box office off its feet. It was a huge heartache when Hayao Miyazaki announced that “The Wind Rises,” will be his last film.

6. Ponyo (2008)

5. Howls Moving Castle (2004)

One thing we must know while watching Hayao Miyazakis films is that, there will never be an empty frame. He will make us watch what he wants us to watch and therefore he succeeds, in Howls Moving Castle, the first sight we see is the castle itself which emerges from nowhere and thus we must expect the unexpected in each frame of his films. Howls, is a movie about a hesitant young girl, who is a hat maker. When she ventures out of her shop, a horde of obnoxious soldiers starts attacking her which paves way for Howls introduction, that leads to a disastrous and breath-taking adventures with the visuals and the characters that metaphorically hits us hard. A film that is clumsy enough to make you cry.
4. Nausicaa of the valley of the wind (1984)

Hayao Miyazaki loves aircrafts and logical science behind it, most of his films portrays a flying character, Nausicaa is one of such. Set in a dystopian future where human civilization appears to be in its last agony. A vast area of toxic jungle which dwells monstrous insects encapsulates the land, one of few kingdoms that’s fighting this contamination is the valley of the wind, a peaceful community protected by strong winds. It is an important film for the world to realize what we have done to the nature and the consequences we are about to face are inevitable.
3. My Neighbour Totoro (1988)

Of all the memories, childhood memories are the best, even though it is subjective, it will be the best for the most. Kids are highly imaginative, they create a world they want to live in and see things they want to see. My Neighbour Totoro is about a world that is benign. A world where if you befriend a huge fluffy forest creature and travel in a Cat Bus, which bustle through the forest with huge eyes working as headlights. It is one of such films that stays with you forever and reminds you about your unimpeachable childhood.
2. Spirited Away (2001)

The film that made Hayao Miyazaki, a globally known artist. Spirited Away is a film that will make you speechless by the boundless imagination of the story. Every frame is drawn with meticulous attention that provides a realistic touch to his imaginative world. The movie is about a 10-year-old girl named Chihiro, who is stuck in a backseat during a long drive while migrating to a new place, the father loses the way during the drive and leads them to a tunnel, from where the story takes an unexpected turn.
1. Princess Mononoke (1997)

Imagination is something that has no limit, we watch animated films to feel the essence of the physical world where we are living in, through the creator’s eyes. Princess Mononoke is a significant film, a story of how would it be if humans, animals and nature gods communicate with each other, and how important it is for us to respect and preserve nature. It is not easy to narrate a story the way you want it to be narrated, Princess Mononoke loudly says that Miyazaki is a master story teller.
