Cobweb Brownies - A Fudgey Halloween Treat

Cobweb Fudge Brownies

No idea what to bake/cook for Halloween? Don’t want to buy candy? Would you rather do something done by yourself instead but do not have the time? Look no further!

Here is my recipe for fudgey spider webbed brownies! It is simple, it looks pretty and no doubt tastes delicious and gooey!

Disclaimer: I am no artist but I tried my best.

What you’ll need:

For Brownies:

- 5 ounces of unsalted butter

- 12 ounces of dark chocolate

- ½ - ¾ cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips (of course the more chocolate, the more happiness!)

- 1 cup of sugar

- 2 tsp of vanilla extract

- Pinch of salt

- 2 tablespoon of coco powder

- 3 tablespoons of condensed milk

- 2 large eggs

- 2 tablespoon of warm water

- 1 tsp of espresso powder

- 1 cup of flour

For Royal Icing:

Hehe I cheated so I got store brought royal icing. However, you are more than welcomed to use your own royal icing recipe. This is after all a quick easy recipe if you do not have the time.

Instructions:

1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius.

2. Cream butter and sugar together until well-combined.

3. Add eggs, vanilla extract, salt, condensed milk, and espresso-water mixture.

4. Melt dark chocolate in microwave using 15-30 second intervals.

5. Add melted chocolate into wet mixture mix until well combined.

6. Add your flour and slowly mix it into the wet mixture. DO NOT OVER MIX.

7. Finally add your semi-sweet chocolate chips.

8. Put the brownie mixture in 9x9 greased pan

9. Bake for about 35-40 minutes. They are ready when you stick a fork in and wet CRUMBS appear on the fork or nothing at all.

10. Slice brownies into desired sizes or shapes.

11. With the royal icing, draw diagonal lines starting from one corner to the other end. Then draw three semicircles across the line.

12. Enjoy your fudgey treat and have a Happy Halloween!
