Christmas Fudge Recipe
Christmas is coming! The red and green have emerged! Or blue and white if you have been to Orchard road hahaha. Anyways, not the point, I am back with a new recipe and this time it is a nice comforting fudge recipe. If you are tired of buying the same old chocolates from the grocery store this will be a good alternative as a gift during visiting or when receiving guest.
Personally, to me the original recipe which I got off Laura Vitale (google her if you haven’t heard of her she has tons of great recipe!) she used semi-sweet chocolate which to me I felt was still a little too sweet hence my reason of using dark chocolate instead. However, again, it is completely up to you, your kitchen, your ingredients, your rules!
Christmas Fudge:
1 ½ cups of chopped up Dark Chocolate (the higher the quality the better)
One 14 Oz can sweetened condense milk
½ cup of nuts (I’m using my favorite combination of almonds and hazelnuts)
Instructions:
Grease up a tray of desired size, (I used a 9x9 simply because I felt it was just nice thickness) wider if you want thinner pieces and smaller if you want thicker pieces. Stick parchment paper after greasing.
Combine condense milk and dark chocolate into pot and stir constantly and basically babysit it until it is all smooth and creamy and that the chocolate has melted.
Add in your nuts and mix it all together.
Pour fudge into tray.
Place fudge into the fridge and wait until the fudge has fully set and chilled
Cut it up to desired size and serve.
Enjoy!
If you really want to amplify the Christmas mood crush up some peppermint candy canes and simply sprinkle on top of the fudge before placing it in the fridge to set!
