Get the Look - Girl Boss
International Women’s Day, commemorating the movement for women’s rights, is just around the corner. It is time for us ladies to get into power-dressing and feel all girl-bossy and empowered. Now this particular outfit is different from my other clothing compilations, it is more of a dream wardrobe then an actual realistic outfit for students to wear on daily basis. The total cost of this look is more than 13000 S$, but a girl can dream, right?
Let’s start with the most empowering item a girl can wear - the suit. This pinstriped blazer with relaxed silhouette and slightly padded shoulders from GANNI’s Resort ’18 collection can be paired with light-coloured linen Brunello Cucinelli pants. Under the blazer a cream-coloured silk cami from Fleur Du Mal would look amazing and feel luxurious on the skin. As for the shoes, a true Girl-Boss tends to go for classic: black pointed-toe stiletto heels by Christian Louboutin.
Remember the movie “Devil wears Prada”? Look at this gorgeous bag designed in the world-known Italian luxury fashion house! This leather and raffia piece framed by whipstitched trims adds some airiness and fun to the look.
Now onto accessories, there’s never enough hours in the day of a working gal, and in the constant fight for more time, wrist watch is the best friend. This delicate gold-plated and stainless steel watch by Larsson & Jennings works very well with the outfit.
No look is complete without a bit of sparkle, right? These Fred Leighton 18-karat white gold, jade and diamond earrings cost more than anything in this high-end clothing compilation, the price being 5110 S$.
The power colour for women is red, so red nail colour and the lipstick of the same tone looks good on a true Girl-Boss, do not ever underestimate the power of a red lip.
As a last detail, a working gal puts on a few sprits of her favourite perfume (mine is Philosykos from Diptyque), throws on her shades for the day, most probably Gucci and she’s ready to conquer the day!
